Here’s how I handled it 👇
They tried to steal it. Couldn’t steal me. #melsangels
I wasn’t planning on learning how to file a takedown notice this week.
I had actual work to do. Dogs to move, miles to drive, a business to run. But instead, I found myself staring at someone else selling my design like it was theirs.
And honestly? I had to laugh.
Because the shirt they tried to steal—
“I Lived. You Mad?”—
isn’t just a design.
It’s my life.
It’s the miles, the chaos, the breakdowns, the rebuilds, the long drives, the dogs that trust me, and the people who don’t always get it. It’s everything I’ve had to push through to build Mel’s Angels into what it is.
So yeah… you can copy the image.
But you don’t get the story.
This whole thing turned into something unexpected.
Instead of getting stuck being annoyed (okay, I was annoyed), I decided to turn it into something better. Something louder. Something that actually says what this brand is about.
Because Mel’s Angels isn’t just about pet transport.
It’s about resilience.
It’s about doing things your own way.
It’s about getting knocked around and still showing up.
So I made something out of it.
I turned it into a video.
I turned it into a message.
And yeah, I turned it into a little warning too.
Play dirty games… win dirty prizes.
At the end of the day, this didn’t slow me down.
If anything, it reminded me why I do this in the first place.
I’m not here to be copied.
I’m here to build something real.
And real doesn’t get stolen.
I lived. You mad?
